Hauser Insurance Sponsors Talbert House Fundraiser

Hauser Insurance works every day to help reduce the risks and uncertainties that its clients face every day. It’s one of the reasons that it chooses to give back to the community by supporting organizations that support those facing uncertain times.

Hauser Insurance Group has long maintained a commitment to providing philanthropic support to organizations that have an impact on Cincinnati and the people who live there. Their philanthropic pursuits are designed to not only give back to their community but also to provide employees with an opportunity to support organizations that make a difference in the lives of their neighbors and fellow residents.

Community support is at the core of Hauser Insurance’s philanthropic initiatives. One of its most recent commitments is no exception.

Getting a Kick Out of Community Event

Hauser Insurance recently served as a Mentor Sponsor for Fatherhood @ FC Cincinnati, a fundraising event that provided support for the Talbert House, which serves thousands of Cincinnati-area people every year. Hauser Insurance has been a sponsor for the Talbert House’s fundraising efforts for several years.

The local charitable agency was raising funds for its Fatherhood Project, which is designed to help men become more committed, nurturing, and responsible fathers. Organized by the Hatton Foundation, the event served as the Talbert House’s annual fundraising gathering.

The August special event brought men, women, and children together for three hours of festivities at TQL Stadium, the newly opened home of FC Cincinnati, the local Major League Soccer franchise.

During the event, participants were given insider access to areas of the stadium that are typically off-limits, including the team locker rooms and clubrooms.

In addition, soccer enthusiasts could practice their dribbling skills on a special course and take their own shots on goal in an area for penalty kicks practice. A balloon artist, magician, games, and refreshments rounded out the offerings at the celebration. Lucky winners also were awarded door prizes and fundraising raffles were held.

A Commitment to Stronger Families

In 2020, the Talbert House served 21,000 individuals with in-person services and another 96,000 people through its hotline and prevention services. Given the multiple challenges that Cincinnati residents faced in 2020, including the COVID-19 pandemic, economic downturn, and food insecurity, the need for social services like those that the Talbert House provides has never been more critical.

Opened initially as a halfway house in 1965, the Talbert House focused at first on homeless men. Today, the organization provides services for adults, children, and families alike. It is named for the late Ernest Talbert, a sociology professor at the University of Cincinnati.
